This lake is scheduled to be dredged in 2008. During the period of dredging, the Broken Land Parkway parking lot will be closed. Use the Dockside Lane lot instead.

From US 29 go east on MD 32 for 1.7 miles. Take the Broken Land Parkway North exit and continue 0.6 mile to the paved parking lot on the right side of Broken Land Parkway. This lot is at the southwest corner of the lake. A second lot adjacent to the lake is reached by continuing north along Broken Land Parkway from the first parking lot 0.3 mile to Cradlerock Way. Turn right and continue almost 0.3 mile to the second right, Dockside Lane. Turn onto Dockside and almost immediately turn left onto an unnamed paved road. The lot at the end of this road provides access to a boat launch ramp and the paved path that encircles the lake. Forebay Pond is at the southeast corner of the lake on a spur path leading uphill from the bridge at the east end of the lake.
