Size: A section of the 14,000 acre
Patapsco Valley State Park (PVSP) on both sides of
the Patapsco River which in this area is the
boundary between Howard County and Baltimore
County.

Habitat: Deciduous forest adjacent to
Patapsco River. Open area along railroad
tracks.

Best Months: April and May; September
and October.

Coverage Time: Several hours.

Trails/Paths: A broad path along the
railroad tracks may be taken upstream and
downstream along the river.

Notable Birds: Yellow-throated Vireo,
Veery, Northern Parula, Yellow-throated Warbler,
Cerulean Warbler (rare), Black-and-white Warbler,
Prothonotary Warbler (rare), Ovenbird, Kentucky
Warbler, Hooded Warbler (rare), Scarlet
Tanager.

facilities.

dirt path along railroad tracks.
