Take US 29 north to the T-intersection and traffic light at MD 99 (Old Frederick Road). Turn left and continue 3.9 miles to the traffic light at Woodstock Road. Turn right and continue 1.2 miles to the Patapsco River. Park on the left (before crossing the RR tracks) OR cross the bridge and park next to the road in any of several areas near a gate that provides access to the Baltimore County side of the river. On the Howard side, walk east or west along the RR tracks to locate trails. Alternate route from I70: Take the Marriottsville North exit (Exit 83). Go north 1.1 miles to the traffic light at MD 99. Turn right and continue 0.9 mile to the traffic light at Woodstock Road. Turn left and continue to the Patapsco River.
