Managed Deer Hunt Days
in Howard County Parks (and WSSC)

Eight Howard County parks and open space areas will have managed deer hunts on the days shown to control the overpopulation of White-tailed Deer.
When there is a hunt, the park/open space is CLOSED from dawn until noon..

WSSC DEER HUNTING SCHEDULE

Remember both reservoirs close for the season on December 15, 2011! While the reservoirs are open, there is NO access for birding on days there is hunting.
Hunters and Farmers Feeding the Homeless

Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry collects cash donations from churches, foundations, businesses and individuals and pays approved deer processors to process the deer brought to them during Maryland's bow, muzzleloader and firearms seasons including those taken from Howard County Parks.

Venison is distributed and/or cooked by hundreds of Maryland community organizations such as church pantries, Salvation Army, community food banks, church feeding ministries, emergency assistance programs and children's homes.
